Hours - Full time (permanent), 36.25 hours per week (Mon-Fri)

Based – Port Glasgow (hybrid)

Insight Travel Services Ltd is currently recruiting for a professionally qualified Financial Accountant to join the finance team in Port Glasgow. The company is a shared service centre for The Travel Corporation Group, a global travel business with many brands and offices throughout the world. The office is located within Inverclyde and provides services to various group companies. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will be responsible for a range of finance duties including -

• Full responsibility for the accounting function of four group companies
• Preparation of monthly management accounts and year end statutory accounts
• Overall responsibility for annual budgets, periodic forecasts and cash flow projections
• Preparing and filing quarterly VAT returns
• Reviewing balance sheet and other reconciliations prepared by accounts assistants
• Liaising with auditors during both the internal and external audit process
• Ensuring group internal control guidelines are followed and reporting deadlines are met

Key attributes -

• Strong technical knowledge with a keen eye for detail
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and Outlook at intermediate or advanced level
• Highly organised and able to work to tight deadlines
• Proactive and flexible attitude
